| GLENYS ROBERTS
|
Glenys Roberts, a top feature writer at the Daily Mail, has been West End Ward Councillor since 1999. She has specialised in planning and licensing and she continues her interest in noise abatement and the control of anti-social behaviour emanating from licensed premises in the West End. She sits on overview and scrutiny committees for housing and health with a particular focus on social housing leases mirroring commercial leases for increased responsibility and improved care of the vulnerable, especially Alzheimer's victims in old people's homes. Currently engaged in reviving the cultural life of Soho as Lead Member for the Soho Action Place, she believes economic growth and a crimeless inner city can only be achieved by the return of residents. She is also Chairman of the Soho Steering Group.
